Missouri Valley is a town in Harrison County, which was established on Jauary 15, 1851. The county was named for William Henry Harrison (1773-1841), the ninth President of the United States. The county seat is at Logan. Harrison County received the highest number of Carnegie grants with Missouri Valley, Logan, Dunlap and Woodbine as recipients.
