Reinbeck is a town in Grundy County, which was established on January 15, 1851. Grundy County is named for Senator Felix H. Grundy (1777-1840) who served as a politician in Kentucky and Tennessee. The county seat is at Grundy Center. Grundy County received two Carnegie grants for the towns of Reinbeck and Grundy Center.
